Guest guest
Thanks, Darcy. I enjoy your posts too. You get so much done, in between diapers and sick kids. I remember how physically demanding young children are, and I wasn’t working out then, besides the odd walk or hike. Perhaps if I had been, I would have had your energy. J I went with a Firm workout this morning, after a warm-up 20-min walk on the tmill. Interesting to me is that I’m noticing my heart rate is consistently higher in the morning, and even within the morning (higher at 9am, than 11am, say). So I can easily burn 20 or so calories more on the same walk if I do it earlier. Anyone else notice this? Is this part of the whole ‘morning exercise is more efficient ‘idea and I just missed it? I did a total sculpting (something like that) plus abs. They use the stick thingy, and I just use dumbbells. Skipped the step too, and much of the leg work. Decent workout though, and at just over 200 calories, a good burn to boot. More Snow Shovelling Max later. LOL I’ve been thinking of Carolyn and Chinook in this mess – what’s this, day four of snow? Unusually heavy dump for us, this early in the season, but my kids are loving it. Sledding and building forts are their top priorities now. Guest guest
Hmm, I'm going to check out my heart rate levels AM vs PM...I've been trying to do some kind of cardio in the morning but I go to bed too late...going to be on time may have to be my new year's resolution.
