Guest guest
hi everyone - ive been so stupidly busy again this week (and also, i admit, ive been procrastinating and not looking after myself properly again ::sigh: that ive been walking outdoors but not fitting in my video workouts. but at least i am doing something. and im very active for the whole day, i dont get to sit down for any length of time until 9pm (but that of course is when i start to e-a-t...ugh!) anyway, yesterday (tues) i walked with the dog for 65 mins, shovelled snow for 10 mins, stretched for 5 mins. HRM says that was 682 cals. wow, that seems high. today (wed) i walked with the dog for 60 mins, that was it, and the HRM said the burn was 526 cals! what the heck? for months i was consistently burning 300 cals during a 60 min walk. maybe all of the winter clothes i have to wear now while walking are messing up my HRM readings...lol. what is strange is that the max and avg HR rates were normal... just the cal burn was really high. it was high on monday too but i wrote it off because of the snow shovelling i did. but i didnt really find it to be that strenuous. so, i dont know what to think... nothing else has changed, my weight, age, height, etc. but now that i think of it, i noticed that the date and time on the watch were messed up this morning and i reset those and checked all other settings but they were all correct. geeze i hope that it isnt broken ::pointing accusing finger at the kids:: :*carolyn.
