Guest guest
I'm not familiar with the tortoise/hare stuff to answer that part but Jari herself tells you not to do the workouts 2 days in a row. I wouldn't want to either, the muscles need time to rest so they can rebuild. Re: Ripped Rotation Sounds good to me!Can any of Jari's workouts be considered tortoise/hare style? Or are they all pretty similar? I was curious if there are any that you guys think could be done on back to back days. For the 1st week of Sept, it'll be a short week for me, so if I could do a Jari on Sun, Tues, Wed it would be ideal. I imagine I'll going a bit light on weight my first time through, so maybe it'll be okay? I don't think I'd have time to do a Jari on that Thurs morning before I head to my friend's house. It's a long drive, so getting up super early before the drive to do a long workout probably isn't a good idea for this nightowl, lol. Thanks!Sara>> Hi!> > How about we all commit to the first 2 weeks, then those who want to drop off can and those that want to continue can. Guest guest
Do have all of them? I've got Ripped, S & L, and R & C. I borrowed 1000 from the library, didn't like it. But for back to back, I'd try Ripped (not as heavy on reps as S & L or R & C) and then 1000. Since there are cardio intervals, I don't think it would be as much weights as RTTC. Are you the one that teaches bodypump? IMO, S & L is is similar on reps. When I took bodypump classes, there were a few times I did back to back days because of my schedule, but if you are used to the same type of workout, then I don't think it would be that big of a deal to do occasionally. > > > > Hi! > > > > How about we all commit to the first 2 weeks, then those who want > to drop off can and those that want to continue can. >
Guest guest
Yep, I have all the Jari's. That's kind of what I was thinking about 1000. I don't know much about the workouts, but thought I might be able to treat 1000 more like a cardio. And it would be just this one time because of my schedule, as I normally wouldn't do two of these kind of workouts back to back. Thanks so much! And LOL - nope I don't teach Body pump! I'm a total gym chicken and way shy! Sara > > Do have all of them? I've got Ripped, S & L, and R & C. I borrowed 1000 > from the library, didn't like it. Guest guest
Thanks, ! I might try to do Ripped back to back with 1000, and try to use 1000 are more of a cardio with light weights. We'll see. Trouble is, I know I'll be running around like a nut right before my trip, and having to do a long workout before I head out would stress me out. But I'd really like to do the Jari's for the 1st two weeks in Sept. Guest guest
I’m doing one a week – following Carolyn’s schedule. Don’t know about Ripped 1000 though, because of my bursitis; may have to repeat the others on that last week . Walked for 65 minutes today, and now I’m planning my abs and yoga for tomorrow. From: exercisevideos [mailto:exercisevideos ] On Behalf Of *~*Gymmie*~* Sent: August 30, 2008 7:40 PM I'm still figuring that out...not sure yet if I'm going to do each one one week (i.e. Week 1--Get Ripped, Week 2--S & L, etc.) or mix it up and do a different one each time. Guest guest
Hi, Okay, you guys won me over - I'll plan to do it as follows:week1 - Ripped week 2 - S & L week 3 - RTTC week 4 - Ripped 1000 (but I may only do it twice and throw in one of the others) Is anyone doing it by alternating the workouts during the week? If so...I may waiver and follow you! Take care, Donna

Guest guest
Hi Donna (and everyone else too)! Sorry if you get this late but yes, I switched. All except the last week I'll do MWF. The last week I'll probably do Tues/Th/Sat. I wanted to do the same schedule as most people too. I've been playing with my netflix queue to get some new, short (30 min or so) cardio workouts for now and then will try to make sure I have Ripped and Chiseled coming in time for the last week to rotate it with 1000. I just printed off the spreadsheets for keeping track of the weights I use in each workout (Kassia had posted a link to a website with them, I can't remember what it is now but downloaded the Jari Love & Cathe Friedrich spreadsheets to my own computer). I'm ready for tomorrow's Get Ripped round 1 workout! Ripped rotationTo: exercisevideos Date: Friday, August 29, 2008, 3:52 PM Just jumping in very briefly to say I've decided, since so many other people are and that sounds like it would be more fun, to do my Ripped workouts MWF and cardio/abs/yoga TThS. I'm also going to follow the suggestion to do an entire week with one of the workouts, in the order I think it was Carolyn that posted (Get Ripped for a week, then whatever, for a week, etc.). So the first week I'll do Get Ripped all 3 days. I have the first 4 workouts, including Ripped 1000, and didn't like that one much but need to do it again so I can decide how much I really don't like it (or maybe I will) so that will be one of the weeks too (doing 1000). I am going to get Ripped & Chiseled from netflix and may do a mixed week of that and 1000 just so I don't have to do 1000 3 times if I don't want to. In any case, I'll at least end up doing R & C at least the last Monday in September or possibly into the first few days of October to do a whole week with it. There's one Wednesday in September (the last full week) that I know I can't do Ripped so I might do TThS that week only. I hope this made sense. I'm taking a quick break from some other stuff and my brain isn't super focused on this right now! Busy last week before school starts, I owe email and want to read postings but have been very quickly scanning when I've had time. Saw the discussions on these & wanted to just say what my plans are. Will get back in the loop soon.
