Guest guest
Apparently, I was nervous enough before my angiogram that I started sweating a lot and started to have dry heaves when they were prepping me. But it is a minimally invasive procedure so nothing should go wrong. Hopefully they'll just go through your wrist, the healing is easier through the wrist, you have to lie absolutely flat for 8 hours if they go through the groin. When they said that they wanted to go through both my wrist and groin ( they can do more that way ), I said that I was in the hospital because I was having difficulty breathing while lying flat so they only went though my wrist. It took a little longer for the bleeding to stop with mine, they normally remove the bandage in two days and they had to put a new bandage on me for a couple more days but I was still hospitalized at the time, normally they send patients home with the instructions to remove the bandage after two days. They will ask you if you're nervous before the operation, if you say yes then they'll either give you something to not care or knock you out, with the dry heaves I was a bit perturbed so I said yeah and the next thing I remember was being packed back onto the ambulance to return to the first hospital where my bed was, apparently they just knocked me out. Guest guest
Hi Mandy Sorry I didn’t see this in time – you are probably already having your procedure, since you are 5 hours ahead of me I think. Sending prayers and best wishes that all will go wonderfully on all levels, including those who are part of your care. Two of my friends have had them without problems – but I can sure understand that it would be scary! best, Jean From: Mandy Sent: Monday, January 09, 2012 8:27 PM To: BB-Pals ; BeingSick ; bev.a.hays@... ; cardmaking@... ; Crohns ; crohnscolitis-friends ; eleanorfoulger@... ; FIBRO_FROG ; hazel.c.price@... ; HomeHeartstrings ; Latter_Day_Saint_Women ; lds_disabledmembers@... ; Lds_Fibro ; sherbaby2001@...
