Guest guest
Hello all, I have not posted in years, but here I am again, like a bad penny showing up. Or maybe like that annoying Aunt who you don't hear from unless it's to tell you what you ought to be doing...lol Many of you are just starting and freaking out about scale weight. One looses 6lbs the frist week, one looses nothing...one gains 0.6lbs and tries to cut free day....it is all a mind game with the scale. My opinion is either don't weigh yourself, or weigh every day. Put the numbers in a spread sheet and look at the trend line. The trend line will tell you more than the actual scale reading. Since our weight is a system in flux, it is easy to feel like we are out of control. If you follow the trend line you can see if you are really in control or not. My two cents. Guest guest
I weigh every day and use a trend line on an excel spread sheet. It's much better for my head. A few years ago, I had " Diet & Exercise Assistant " loaded on my PDA: http://www.download.com/Diet-Exercise-Assistant/3000-2360_4- 10185727.html?tag=lst-1 If you enter your weight on a regular basis, it has a trend line. It also has a pretty good food data base. It's not specifically targeted to BFL, but still a useful tool (if you want to dink with entering all your food into a database The good thing is that you can copy items from one day to the next, making it easier (for instance, if you eat the same bfast every day). Plus, you can add custom foods. Has anyone tried the PalmBFL:The Body for Life Companion 6.4? http://www.download.com/PalmBFL-The-Body-for-Life-Companion/3000-2360_4- 10633399.html?tag=lst-4 It looks like it also comes with a " workout companion " and it is centered around the BFL principles (so it appears). Both are available for free trials on download.com (the links above). Dana
