Guest guest
Hi all, I don't know that I ever formally introduced myself. I'm , 36 years old; this is my second time doing BFL. The first time I completed all 12 weeks, then we had a loss in the family and I've never really gotten back on track until now. I'm the biggest I've ever been and the exercise is harder than it's ever been in my life, but I've been hanging in there. Last week was my first week. It wasn't perfect, but it was good enough to feel better. I'm trying to approach this as a lifelong change this time, so I'm not even thinking about 12 weeks or anything like that. I'm doing straight BFL, no mucking around with calories and protein grams because I know from experience when I start getting obsessed with numbers, I end up quitting. So that's me. My problem is that my daughter and I both woke up with a stomach bug today. As a result, I can't eat BFL-style or exercise right now. My old perfectionist tendencies are kicking in and in the past, that's been the point where I quit whatever I'm doing to lose weight. I'm trying to ride it out and just look forward to getting back on track when I'm well again, but it's tough. Does anyone else struggle when they get sick and can't do BFL by the book? I guess I'm just looking for inspiration, to hear from others who successfully go easy on themselves when life presents little obstacles. I hope that makes sense! Thanks for any input.
