Guest guest
I got my protein powder today and tried your mandarin orange recipe - yum! I have a question though. Do you strain the mandarin oranges, or keep them in the juice? How much ice do you use? Also, is one scoop about 1/4 cup. My powder is in a 5lb thing and I can't find the scoop! I'm not about to stick my hands down there, so I estimated it to be 1/4 cup?? Thanks for the recipe! I really like it so far (my one time I tried it I also opened up a new blender that I have had for like THREE years, so another thing to be excited about LOL... Guest guest
Thanks for all the info Carolyn!! I just used the liquid in the mandarin oranges, it was not syrup..hmm.. it probaly would be better to drain and put real orange juice in there. I noticed that it made my stomach a bit funny too. It made a lot, and I drank it all. I should have not drank so much! LOL.. The consistency on mine turned out just perfect though. I measured, and I thought 1/4 cup came out to be about 30 grams, but not positive. Maybe I can find that dang scoop today. I actually just put some in my yerba matte tea, and it was great! Disolved instantly and it made the tea even more better. Wow, that should keep me away from food for a long time. LOL.. My tea really helps suppress my appetite, I almost wonder if that's not the cause of my recent 3 lb loss??? Not sure, but what a bonus to get some protiein in there now too Darcy who wishes I would have bought some chocolate now too and not FIVE pounds of vanilla (it's going to last me six years, I think)On Fri, Sep 26, 2008 at 7:51 PM, Festival City Concrete/ & Carolyn Visser wrote: Darcy Ledman wrote: > I got my protein powder today and tried your mandarin orange recipe - > yum! Guest guest
Darcy, Grab a big slotted spoon to work your way through the massive amount of protein powder to find the scoop. I've had to do that a couple of times when I've gotten a big container. Tonya Re: Carolyn / protein shake question.. Thanks for all the info Carolyn!!
