Starting week 2

Starting week two. No change on the scales or the clothes-o-meter,

but then I didn't expect any. If I don't see a change after week 4,

then I'll get upset ;)

Regarding scales and a comment made over the weekend... I don't

know about you guys, but I can vary by three pounds daily. For

instance, I am 5'2 " and 127-ish pounds (the day I weighed for the

beginning of the challenge 127.8). My goal is 10 lbs... we'll see :)

Anyway, one day last week I was at 124.6 and today I was back to

127 even.

So.... weight varies! Don't stress about a pound (or my goodness,

and half pound) here or there. Most women vary 3-5 pounds

throughout the month. I like to monitor the scale for consistency. If I

weigh every 2-3 days and I'm consistently around 127, I figure I'm

127. If I have a few days of 127 and then a 125, well, that's maybe a

fluke. If I have a few days that are consistently 125, well then woo

hoo! I might have dropped a pound or two! :)

Good luck, all.

I'm in complete agreement! I don't want anyone to

think that I'm obsessing over half a pound. My

question was more because of my own personal history

of binging and slow gain. I know from experience that

it takes a LONG time for my clothes to show whether

what I'm doing is working or not (with either gain or

loss) so I just wanted to make sure I'm not sabotaging

my efforts through the (much needed) free day. Got my

calipers today, so that should help as an alternate

measure. My body fat scale is beyond useless.

Glad to see we have so many people starting at once.

It will be nice to see this through together.
