Guest guest
No workout yesterday thanks to no power from 2 AM until 3 PM. Temps were in the teens with windchill well below zero (50 mph winds). I had a sick kid at home too and was hoping to get in a long workout while he rested. Instead, I took his little sister to school, then him to Target (he was actually fine yesterday) then called relatives looking for someone with power. My dad, 45 minutes away did so we went there for the afternoon. By the time we got home the power was back on and the house, which had been 51 degrees when I stopped by on the way to my dad's at 10:30 was up to 57. It eventually got warm but I was so tired from the stress and driving around on a very windy highway that I had no energy to workout. So... today I did P90 3-4 Circuit. Pushups are getting better and better (more and more of them). The tricep pushups, while not easy, are becoming doable (I did 7 with good form again today) and did 20 regular pushups during the max pushups near the end of the workout. These are all on my knees. I have no idea what I can do on my toes, probably not nearly as many. Tried military presses with 10 lbs. for the first time and found that was a bit much going over my head in each hand. I got in about 8 reps with good form and 2 more with bad form then decided I needed to stop before I hurt myself. Tony says do 8-15 reps. I can do 15 without difficulty with 8s (not that it is like using 3s but I can complete all 15 reps with good form) and 8 with 10s. It was good to find out. I did swimmer's press with my 8s! Tomorrow, I have P90 cardio 3-4 on my schedule. I was supposed to be going to a meeting in the morning for a sensory/behavioral issues support group (I'd started one several years ago that never had enough people attending to make it worth my time to keep it going, this one just started and they asked me to come to the first meeting and share their info with my old members) but DS was sick at school again (after being absolutely FINE for a day and a half!) and I had to pick him up just before going into work so I'm not going. We're expecting 5" - 10" of snow by tomorrow afternoon too so they might cancel it altogether. The work I missed today was a WW At Work so I just called the coordinator at the company and said I can't make it in, sick kid, let's add a week to your session, no problem. Yesterday I had to skip work but had warning and for that one I do meetings in a WW center so I had to call all over the planet looking for a sub. Found one luckily! I don't know what would have happened if I couldn't have made it to that at the last minute. One of the receptionists probably would have had to jump in and teach it fast! Anyway... tomorrow, assuming we don't lose power again, I want to do P90 cardio 3-4. We'll see if it happens, I sure hope so, I haven't done any cardio yet this week.
