Tuesday - Pilates

Hi Everyone,

I made up my own little Pilates mix today using Kries' "New Method" workouts. I figured I was probably burning out on the 10 Min Solutions (which is funny b/c when I first got them, I never used them as "complete" workouts, but now I use them that way all the time!) Anyway, I did the ab/core workout from her Precision Pilates and her upper body/lower body from her Perfect Mix DVD. The ab/core workout was primarily classical Pilates - mat work, as you would expect. is extremely flexible, it is inspiring to watch. The Upper/Lower workouts were a bit of a blend of yoga and Pilates - which worked out very well. The Upper body used weights in the "classical" Pilates upper body routine and then there were body weight exercises from yoga. The Lower Body started with some yoga (which was really excellent for my hip flexors!), then moved on to some ballet and then lying side series from

Pilates. Felt that I got a good varied workout in.

My hip (left one) is still cranky from my chair episode last week, but my back is feeling much better. Hope to keep things on the improvement streak!! :)
