Guest guest
Hi everyone I just want to share my experience with you. Last year I did AIT (Auditory Integration)with my son for the second time. The previous year – 2005 - I had done for the first time and I was very happy with the outcome. My son used to roll his eyes and few months after AIT he stopped. The balance improved and the speach developed amazingly. He was always overload with noise and it definitely had an impact on that. So, second time around, I had decided to do AIT again combining it with Oxygen treatment. Not necessarily at the same day but around the same period of time. AIT is supposed to still be working for between 9 and 12 months after you finish treatment. I had read that a place in America (Miracle Mountain) only do Oxygen Therapy combined with AIT as the oxygen enhances the AIT. So, we did. We did it all over the summer. My son's language improved even more. He has just been tested and he is now within the normal range of speach for a 5 year old. The cognitive has also improved AMANSINGLY. It is so odd but every time he talks sense and makes cleaver questions I feel blessed. Now he can be funny and even manipulative. It is like if it is a miracle happening. He has still major problems of fine motor skill, hard to get him to stay on task (his own agenda) and severe bowel problems. However, I can now talk to him and he makes sense. He has been asking questions about where he came from, how he got inside mummy's tummy, how meat and bone can come up to life……. I just wanted to share my experience with you because of the impact of AIT/ Oxygen therapy had in my son's life. All the best. Vilma PS: Forgot to mention he has also been wearing prisma glasses for the last l7 months.
