Guest guest
For cardio today, I decided to try a bargain I found a few weeks ago – Walk and Box with Foreman and Petra Kolber, from the Walk It Off With Foreman series. This was really a fun one for me! I'd say it's a bit more intense than your average , and the music is quite good, very upbeat. The overall feel of the workout is very happy as well, with the backgrounders adding some hooting and hollering here and there. Petra and are in front on this one, with offering friendly and encouraging comments, and Petra leading the exercises and keeping count and pace. They interact very well with each other. The whole workout is about 44 minutes. The warm up seemed a bit long, like 6-7 minutes, and there isn't as much boxing as expected – cross punch, hook, and upper cut – broken down into shorter segments. You do keep moving the whole time though, and one really fun part is the boxing bursts. During the one minute bursts (four in total) you have the option to jog, jump rope, or do a boxing shuffle during the burst. The backgrounders are of all ages and sizes, and it's fun to see the different variations that they choose during the bursts. The music has a great beat and is very fast during the bursts, too. The cool down and short stretch are about 5 minutes, but since this isn't super intense, that seemed just right to me. I wore my weighted gloved with this one, and kept my arms moving in between boxing – and worked up a pretty decent sweat. Plus, the happiness of the workout put me in a good mood, lol! So, a nice little workout that I'm looking forward to doing again sometime. I see on amazon you can get many of 's walking workouts for really cheap (I think I saw one for $0.23 plus shipping!) so I'll have to read up on the others to see which ones I might like!
