No work men today so I could take my time with my workout. I will likely not be as free Monday but that's okay. This morning I did the Cardio1 (as a warm up), Sculpting Legs, Sculpting Arms, Sculpting Core and Stretching from the same Kathy Kaehler disc I did yesterday (Total Body Workout part of a 2 disc set I got at Target a few weeks ago). Each is 10 minutes so I did 50 minutes total today. I was going to go right into Legs but realized there was no warm-up so I switched to Cardio1 first which is a great 10 minute workout and worked well as a warm-up too. All of the sculpting workouts were very good even though they're just 10 minutes (either that or I got really deconditioned in a week). I noticed the arms workout emphasizes shoulders and triceps, no biceps at all which I found interesting. This emphasis was actually really good for me because those are both weak/problem areas for me. I could only go with 3s for this because of the heavy shoulder work. The other two workouts were not particularly exciting but when she got done with the reps for most exercises, I was ready. She pushes hard and keeps moving. She does do some variations that I haven't done in many other workouts so that keeps things interesting. There was a little bit more form pointers in these than the cardio workouts but not much. I would not recommend these to beginners because of that and because they're more challenging than a real beginner would probably want to do. I'd probably place all of the workouts on this disc as intermediate. I don't remember if there was any music in any of the toning workouts but I don't think so. Again, no chatter, just some encouragement, cueing and a few form pointers. I did notice, speaking of cueing, when I did Cardio1 again, that a problem I was having towards the end of the workout wasn't me! She does a move where you cross one leg over the other (like a box step if I seen it called in other videos), then does double side steps (leg out, leg in, leg out, leg in not across the floor like ) on each side but sometimes she does 1 box step and sometimes she does 2 and there didn't seem to be a pattern, possibly because it is only repeated 3 or 4 times. No cueing on it and that was a bit annoying but because it is so simple otherwise, after doing the workout one more time I'll be able to anticipate how many she'll do.

On other topics: my roof is fixed!! The ugly hole in my family room ceiling has been patched and they're going to paint on Monday. I'm also getting new flooring in my kitchen and one of the bathrooms Monday so I'm off to Home Depot soon to pick out some tile. If anyone has any ideas for color schemes with Harvest Gold toilet, sink and tub I'd appreciate hearing them (you can email them directly to me instead of clogging up the list). We're going to tear out the wallpaper and redecorate that entire bathroom. I noticed the Allegra that I took at 6:30 yesterday morning wore off by 8 PM and I was miserable again all evening and again this morning until I took it and it kicked in. I'm hoping that it will work longer as I continue taking it. The doc told me to call her next Wednesday if it is not doing enough for me so if it is still like that then I'll let her know. Otherwise though, I am amazed at the difference in how I feel, it is great. Also, the river that was causing the flooding here has apparently crested/peaked/whatever it is called and we're expecting dry weather all weekend so there shouldn't be more problems. A lot of people on the lake nearby and on lower parts of the river have wet crawl spaces and yards that are completely under water but as far as I know there were no living spaces damages this time. Unfortunately though, the Red Cross center nearby (about 20 minutes from here so unconnected to the lake and river by me) and their entire lower level, where they stored all their disaster relief supplies plus a teen center was housed there, was under 6 feet of water and they lost everything. Of all the groups to get hit.

Anyway, that's what is going on here. I've also been hit by a major decluttering bug, I think because of all the work we're doing I want to make other areas nice too, so I've been really wrapped up in that lately. I want to read/reply to postings but I also want to work on my house (gotta take advantage while I'm actually wanting to do it) so I'll try to take some time for email later too! :-)
