Guest guest
yes, they're using it to underline the life long, incurable baloney. it's " beyond " their control, " beyond " treatment. Perhaps we should stress the sheer number of genetically triggerable conditions whose national charities do NOT espouse " nothing you can do " . Heart disease is now leaping - nobody is suggesting that you go home, get fatter and wait for the attack, despite a strong genetic link. the grandparents thing is really depressing, I've also read this. My grandfather (the one who died at 53) was dirt poor as a young man, grew up in smoggy London and his whole family died of cancer, seven brothers and one sister. I think they truly were canaries. (I am hoping to have the genes of the long-lived one; I certainly have his strange nose and his love of mashed potato, are these reliable genetic indicators I wonder?) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > In a message dated 21/01/2008 10:38:14 GMT Standard Time, > > > > > bobsallyeva@ writes: > > > > > > > > > > he's not really , he's talking about a genetic pre- > disposition > > > > and > > > > > inter-action between genes and environment.
