Guest guest
Today I did Amy Bento's All Pump. This workout gets a lot done in just 40 minutes! I really liked it! A good total body workout, but with a different feel from APX and Slo-Mo. One memorable part is the squat-lunge set. You start with 16 reps of barbell squats, followed by 8 reps of reverse curtsy lunges, then 8 more reverse curtsy lunges on the other leg. You repeat this 3 times, with no rest! What a killer! I didn't finish the whole thing, as I took a break in the middle to let my HR go down, lol. I still got a nice burn from doing only part of it. The core work was also nice, as it felt pretty thorough even though there weren't any traditional crunches. Core work was with the stability ball – pike ins, roll outs, etc. She also engages the core on some of the upper body work – like biceps curls while in a v-sit. Good stuff! There is stretching in between each exercise, which felt like just the right amount of rest between each exercise. Time really flew with this one, and I could've handled it being just a bit longer. The music is upbeat, but not as good as Slo-Mo and APX, IMO. Amy is more hyper in this one (this is one of her older titles) and has several whoops, but that didn't bother me at all. I think Amy might be my favorite instructor, plus her workouts are such a bargain – esp on sale! I'm excited for the new ones she has planned for this year!
