Guest guest
Hi Tonya, I hope they get to the bottom of whatever is causing your abdominal pain quickly!! Good luck, Donna Subject: Sunday Workout and Monday Doctor DramaTo: CatheFans , exercisevideos Date: Monday, October 6, 2008, 3:01 PM Okay, I've been having some issues lately that have prevented me from getting in some great workouts. I realized when I did my weight and measurements this weekend that I've gained 20 pounds and 6 inches in my waist in the last 2 months. My body fat hasn't changed at all though, which is weird, so I made sure to point it out in the doctors office today. I was actually in the ER on Friday with abdominal pain and passed out on their floor, so todays appointment was a mandatory thing. They think it was a cyst rupturing, but I've been being told that for the last month from the doctor without them doing anything about it. Apparently, taking my DH with me today was the thing to do. He's 6'3" and 285# and works for the Sheriff's department, so having him walk in all intimidating like got some stuff done today. We did some tests today and I have some more to do tomorrow, but at least they are on the way to fixing it instead of just saying "here take a pill" like they've been doing for the last month. Anyway, I actually felt like doing a workout yesterday, so I started the 100 Push-Up Challenge. I did 15 for the test before the dog decided to knock me over with kisses. I said that was good enough and started with column 3. I did the 10 reps, 12 reps, 7 reps, 7 reps all on my toes then did 12 on my knees for the last set. I wore my HRM while doing them and it was 8 1/2 minutes, but I was only in the zone 3 1/2 minutes, probably while trying to do pushups with a 45 pound lab on my back trying to lick me to death. She loves having me lay on the floor! I did burn 31 whole calories while doing them! LOL After that I put in ESPN Fitness Pro's Body Sculpting. This is an 80's/90's classic with lots of spandex and big hair. It is co-taught by Popp, Donna , York, and Greco. It is a light cardio mixed with light weights. Probably too easy for anyone on these lists, but fun to do because of the cheese factor. The graphics alone are hilarious! Think "Saved by the Bell" graphics. Then I decided that I needed yoga so I went with a couple that I recorded from FitTV, All Star Workouts. The first one was a Detox workout with Sara Ivenhoe. A nice relaxing workout, but the chair poses hurt my stomach so I skipped them and the downward dogs. I just stuck with the lighter stuff so I didn't make any of my pain come back. The second one was Zen Sculpt with Ellen Barrett. I didn't use the weights for this one, but enjoyed the mix of stretch, light aerobics, and muscle work. I will probably want to do this one again after I'm feeling better. Now, I'm sitting here trying to figure out what to do today. I want to get a workout in, but the Dr said to come home and lay down. I may just do some light stretch, pilates, or yoga, but I'm not going to skip another workout because I'm feeling a lot better today, just not 100%. Guest guest
Extremely impressive with the pushups! Good luck with your tests and hope nothing is wrong but that they figure it out and take care of it if needed. > > Okay, I've been having some issues lately that have prevented me from getting in some great workouts. Guest guest
Thanks, but honestly, it is one of those things that I get and have to deal with. The extra adrenaline and general pissed off attitude helps push me through the push-ups or anything else tough that I want to do when I get that way. Today will be more push ups, but I'm thinking I need to see what I can max out on for my bench press while I'm this ticked about the doctors and stuff. LOL Tonya Re: Sunday Workout and Monday Doctor Drama Extremely impressive with the pushups!
