Guest guest
hi ! well, i had to change my ripped rotation today. i was very tired (only got 5 hours in bed and that was interrupted the whole time it seemed) and sore (from doing r1000 on monday probably -- my neck, shoulders and traps hurt). so i didnt feel like doing much but desperately wanted to stretch the upper body, at least. i decided to swap wed and thurs in the schedule and do cardio, abs & yoga today, then do r1000, bike/walk and stretch tomorrow. for abs & yoga, i used lisa's idea of combining them and did 'yogilates:level 1'. this is around 40 minutes long and is led by jonathan urla. i found it to be more yoga than pilates (which was ok, and there were some good basic pilates moves included) and it did relieve my neck/shoulder pain, i felt much clearer in the head when i was done. it was silly, but i couldnt decide if i should use a thin yoga mat, or use a padded exercise mat for this workout... i ended up putting the yoga mat on top of the padded mat and hey! that worked great. im going to do that all of the time for yoga and pilates workouts now. i didnt find this workout to be hard but more restorative, which was a good thing today! jonathan cued everything really well and i liked that alot. i thought this workout was well done and i recommend it to beginners and intermediates. there is a yogilates level 2 which i want to do later this week. thanks lisa! :*carolyn.
