Guest guest
Ashlyn You are in the right place. I am about 185 and i want to get to 150 by Christmas. There is a great site that im on and another lady on here is too. You can track you food intake and your exercise. YOu can have buddies on there and make yourself accountable. I hope u stick around. Ill sent u the link for the site if u are interested. Let me know. Welcome to our group! > > Okay,..this is difficult and embarrassing even though I'm 36 yrs > old. > I have a lot of weight to lose. Guest guest
Nope, Ashlyn, you're not the only one! I need to lose around 60 lbs as well, although we'll see what it actually turns out to be when I'm well-muscled instead of marbled! I identified with a lot of your post. I'm 36 too, got married at 26 as well, weighed 135 back then (I'm 5'8 " ) and now spend too much time comparing my 36-year-old self to my 26-year-old self. I have an 8-year-old who I attachment parented as well (well, I guess I still do, but at this age it's not as intense anymore). So welcome. This is my second time around with BFL. The first time I lost close to 30 lbs. and then quit after 12 weeks. Life happened, big-time, and a few years later, here I am again. It's really nice to know there's someone else posting who's got a similar challenge ahead. I hope you stick around! > > Okay,..this is difficult and embarrassing even though I'm 36 yrs > old. > I have a lot of weight to lose. I weigh about 185. Guest guest
Welcome, Ashlyn! You're in the right place. I've only been on a scale twice in the last year, because I'm trying to focus on my health rather than getting obsessive with numbers (which is exactly what I'd do if I weighed myself regularly). But based on those two times, I'd say I probably started where you are, and 20 pounds later, I'm a third of the way to what one might call an ideal weight. You'll find lots of support and great ideas here! -Janine
Guest guest
I lost 60 pounds doing BFL. I've been living the BFL lifestyle for 4 years now. I need to lose another 20 or so as well but have been stuck this last year. Welcome! Michele T. ____________________________________________________________ Stuck in a dead end job?? Guest guest
Hi Ashlyn and welcome =-) Â my goal is 50lbs so we are close, the last 2 kids killed my body =-( But I am well on my way to reach my goals. Â You will find alot of support here =-) Â ~L From: ashlynnneee <no_reply > Subject: Hi...my intro To: bodyforlifewomensclub2 Date: Thursday, September 18, 2008, 2:43 PM Okay,..this is difficult and embarrassing even though I'm 36 yrs old. I have a lot of weight to lose. I weigh about 185. I havent weighed this week...but i have a 7 month old in arms and i'm typing with one hand and i wanted to say hello fast. i really do know how to punctuate but shes wiggling too much. I chose to lose some weight before I got pregnant again and i was down to 139 and was closer to the 118 I was when I got married at 26 yrs old. After this baby I'm 185 again. Its been a battle and I'm always comparing myself to the me who I used to be,...but the truth is...she is gone. Its been 10 yrs that I've been fat. Anyway,...I' m the type of person who likes exercise. I have always had a big appetite though,...so that will have to be curved. Unfortunately, I'm an attachment parenter. I'm always breastfeeding. I homeschool my 8 and 10 yr old. She won't be starting solids anytime soon yet. I wear her in a sling, and when she naps, I exercise. I pray I can get through the whole 50 minutes video when I do work out. I guess this plan of exercise is better because the longest it seems required to work out is 45 minutes. I ordered the book and its on its way, but am familiar with the program,..so I'm excited to try. One thing that I really need is a place to post,..and talk to others, but I wonder if I'm in the right place. I am not in need of shaping up a little, or losing 20 pounds. I need to lose 60! Is there anyone here who needs to lose 60 pounds or around that? I feel weird if I'm the only one. So, I hope I'm not the only one,..but if I am,...I will have to move on. Thanks for reading, Ashlyn
Guest guest
Hi Ashlyn -- I have 3 kids too and I typed with 1 hand for a long time..lol. I gained exactly 40 pounds with each baby, after 1st I lost it all in about 6 months, after baby #2 I was in my pre-preggo jeans after 3 weeks! Then came the surprise, baby #3 was a last minute c-section. Not a good thing at 36 years old. Took a long time to recover and I weighed about 190. BFL got me back on track and back to my skinny jeans. Then life got in the way and I need to lose about 40-50 pounds again. I guess life happens that way. So you are not alone. There is a lot of support here and you can get started again, just be sure to make time for YOU. That is very important. And don't worry about how you looked at 26 versus now. Always look forward and soon you will be healthier than you were at 26. > > Okay,..this is difficult and embarrassing even though I'm 36 yrs > old. > I have a lot of weight to lose. Guest guest
Thank you so much for making me feel welcome. I have finished walking today for 50 minutes and baby jumped in the exersaucer next to me. I can't believe she waited for me to finish. It wasn't easy, because she wimpered every now and then, but she actually waited. I'm dripping with sweat and it feels so good. I'll be sticking around and I can't wait to become more acquainted with you all. Ashlyn > > Okay,..this is difficult and embarrassing even though I'm 36 yrs > old. > I have a lot of weight to lose.
