Guest guest
heh. the mgr probably doesn't know the nutritionals herself ;-) ~sher > > She basically tells me the SF stuff is made the same as their reg stuff only with Splenda instead of sugar but she wouldn't tell me anything else. I assume ice cream is made with cream, milk and sugar etc but I would've liked to find out what was in it beside Splenda. I would assume the ingredients have some sort of label on it....but I guess it would be too much to ask to have her calculate it for me. )...What if I was a diabetic and " needed " the info? > > Anyhoo I ate it and googled a SF ice cream brand and used those numbers to enter into fitday. Ok, just wanted to talk crap about the ice cream shop manager. :oP > > > > >
Guest guest
> I thought everyone, even small " mom and pop " places were > supposed to provide nutritional info on request??? Nope totally optional. Even in those cities like NY that have recently adopted new laws to show the calories up on their marque menus, its only the larger chains not the local little shops that must comply at this time. > I ask the mgr what the nutrition info is and she can't >(or won't tell me) like I'm gonna steal their recipe. More likely she cant because she probably never even thought about anyone asking for it, like it *is* icecream eh? Why would someone be eating it if one is so concerned about calories or whats in it? ;-) (and if I was like a nut allergy person who's life depended on it, I would choose not to eat out) >What if I was a diabetic and " needed " the info? If you were a diabetic (and could not get the info) you just wouldnt be eating it in the first place. Other choices you know, nobody is shoving it into their mouths creating a medical emergency! ;-) Btw remember that just because something is sugar free, its not necessarily fatfree or that much lower in calories. joni
