Guest guest
I grew up on cottage cheese so I love it. A staple in our house at dinner when my mom didn't want to make a salad was a scoop of cottage cheese on a bed of lettuce with either pears, peaches or pineapple on the side. She would even sprinkle a little paprika on top to make it look pretty. Since watching a show that Dr. Oz did on the effects of a high calcium diet and fat loss, I tried last week to eat more non-fat, low-fat dairy and lost 5 pounds. I don't know if the two are related but it can't hurt. Here's what he says about it " The results of the calcium experiment are clear. " The answer is if you have a high calcium diet you [could] . double your fat excretion, " Dr. Oz says. " You can actually get rid of twice as much of that fat if you have calcium, adequate amounts of calcium, at least a gram, in your diet. . What happens is the calcium meets up with the fat and it forms a soap. That soap gets pushed through your bowel. " This week I'm going to try and incorporate more Yogurt. Not my favorite but I know it's really good for us. Lori
Guest guest
I always like cottage cheese as a kid, but I'll forget that my friend in 6th grade told me to try it on a piece of toast. I thought she was crazy, but it was so good! Miaja** > > I grew up on cottage cheese so I love it.
