Guest guest
> what type of exercises are you ladies doing? I have a Nordic Track ski machine that I use for cardio and for a 10 minute warm-up on weight days. On the weekends, I try to get out one day and do some *real* cross-country skiing I also have a rowing machine, but it's hard to get my heart rate up with it, so I don't use it regularly. The bike trainer needs to be set up, but the hubby took my spot in the garage with *his* bike trainer (which he better start riding or I'm booting out of my spot). We have a Gold's Gym weight machine. Some days I use this for weight days, and other days I just use an adjustable (up to 20 lbs each) dumb bell set and 10 lbs ankle weights. (I wouldn't recommend adjustable weights, because I feel like I spend more time adjusting than lifting -- go for various bar bells if you can when purchasing ones for home use). With all this equipment, you'd think I'd be svelte Dana
Guest guest
I just started the exercise plan in the New Rules of Lifting for Women- - lots of multi-joint exercises, a mix of heavy weights and bodyweight stuff. I do martial arts 2x a week. > > what type of exercises are you ladies doing? >
Guest guest
besides weights, i alternate -- time on elliptical, time on a treadmill (though i just walk very fast because my knee is still getting used to the whole running thing), and, believe it or not, time on a mini-tramp! i love my urban rebounder, even though the guy on the DVDs is a bit annoying. the best thing about the latter is that he also includes ab work using the mini tramp, which really works for me, especially since i really really hate ab work. did i mention i hate ab work? ;-) and to the person who lost 9 pounds -- WTG! and to everyone else -- you are all so inspirational and helpful. i bet i'm not the only one who lurks quietly but appreciates all of the discussions! can't believe i'm not just lurking today, ~sher Deus Ex Mama. a blog that slices, dices, and makes julienned mac and cheese. http://www.wrekehavoc.com ________________________________________________________________________ More new features than ever.
