Well, even though I didn't get my All Star Workout in as planned (darn tape!), I did get a great workout. I started with the 4th of Gilad's Total Body Sculpt Plus workouts. This is the hour long show on FitTV. After commercials it is only about 45 minutes of exercise though. This one really focused on the hips. Between the leg lifts, then holding the leg lift, then bending the legs and doing them all again, then holding with weight, then doing circles, my hips are already feeling it. Unfortunately, I know me and that is just my bad hip from a car accident a few years ago telling me that it is still there and I won't have DOMS tomorrow. But I'll be hoping for DOMS!!! LOL After that I did Total Mind & Body Pilates for Beginners which is 60 minutes. This is a DVD that I got at the Dollar Store, so I wasn't expecting much. Boy was I surprised! While it is a beginners workout, it is fabulous for giving explainations and detailed specifics. The guy who leads it doesn't do the workout because he is talking and pointing out form on the two exercisers. He's from Australia, and I'm not sure if it is the difference in their version of English and ours or what, but he does call a couple of things by some different names then what I've heard before but he is still very specific and it doesn't matter if you don't recognize the terms. Also, he adds in dumbbells for some arm movements so it can definitely be made to be more difficult for a more advanced exerciser. After that, I did a Yoga Zone that I recorded from Wisdom channel a few years ago called Sun Salutations. After commercials, it was 20 minutes of exercise. I think they actually made these shows into the DVD's or put the DVD's on the Wisdom channel, I'm not sure. Anyway, it is basically what it says, lots of sun salutations. Pretty decent, but I don't like sun salutations. I prefer a lot more variety in my yoga. I guess I'm not really a yoga traditionalist. Now I'm tired and stretched out and off to bed!
