Guest guest
I too, started my week with Get Ripped! I've had the Jari videos for quite a while, and have previewed them a few times, but never actually *done* them before. I think I might have been intimidated in the past - but no more, lol. I wasn't really sure what weights to use, so I decided to start with following Jari and go from there. That went pretty well, except that I used my curl bar for the barbell work and I don't know how much it weighs. I'd like to think it's at least 15 lbs (like Jari), as it's significantly heavier than the sculpting stick (9lbs). It was a pretty good weight anyway. I can probably add some plates to it for back work and dead lifts next time. My mid back and hamstrings were pretty sore already, as I spent a good hour hunched over and scrubbing when we washed the dog yesterday, lol. Worst back DOMS I've had in a while, heh. So just using the curl bar today was fine. I probably should have gone with 3s for the shoulder raises, but I just did alternating raises at the end and that worked out pretty well. I wish she would have done some shoulder presses, those are some of my favorite exercises. I used ankle weights for the inner/outer thigh work and ended up having to take a few rests. I may try not using the ankle weights next workout and try to finish all the reps. I also did all of the lying/seated exercises on my bench instead of my (short) step. Other than that I followed the workout just as it was, and felt like I got a good burn from it. I was also shocked to look up at one time to see that over 20 minutes had already passed. Time had just flown by – always a good thing! I liked this workout a lot, especially coming off my month of FIRMs. Very straight forward and easy to follow, and it was nice to know that we hit everything one at a time, so I didn't have to wonder when/if we would be doing more lunges, lol. Wednesday is Slim & Lean for me, so I'm looking forward to giving that one a shot. Tomorrow is cardio on the elliptical with another Tony Little video. Should be interesting as it's called Awesome Abs, but says it's for the gazelle. So I'm not quite sure what to expect yet! Sara

Guest guest
Yes that's why I love her workouts...the time just flies by I was also shocked to look up at one time to see that over 20 minutes had already passed. The higher the rent, the better the " house " I live in. I really like living in the " high rent district " and I bet if you just take yourself in hand and tell yourself you are going to do it and like it (or else), you'll end up loving the benefits so much that eventually you couldn't imagine not working out. I've spent enough time in the ghetto...I wanna live out the rest of my days on Park Place!
