this is from the Lancet, which is the most reputable Uk medical journal.

It says that the active ingredient in Risperidone is the doctor's

attention and the side effects (awful) make it worse than placebo. If

your doctor has prescribed Risperidone then you should show him this. He

is wasting his time

This says that Risperidone should no longer be used for people with

mental disabilities because it is less effective than placebo. The

reason why it is still used is that doctors aren't up-to-date with the

research and the people with disabilities cannot complain about the side

effects
