Guest guest Posted October 21, 2008 Report Share Posted October 21, 2008 Hi Everyone, Today I did 's 3 mile walk from her Walk Slim Series. I'm thinking this week that I'm going to be "brave" and try a Charlene Prickett low impact routine to see how my back handles it. I feel ready to branch out a bit more as I have very little discomfort most days. Tomorrow I'm going to be time crunched in the morning, so I only have Pilates planned - I want to do a Pilates workout that focuses more on upper body since that area is feeling neglected. I may do Kries' Method Precision Sculpting. Oh, getting back to today - after 's walk I did a body ring workout with Ana Caban. I enjoyed it - it challenged me in a different way than traditional mat work. The workout uses a Pilates body ring/magic circle and that provides some additional resistance and different positioning for some of the exercises. It was filmed outdoors and Ana was working w/ one assistant. Mostly it was traditional Pilates exercises done with the ring as a prop to provide additional resistance and focus. I need to find more ring workouts! I have Voight's (that one is mostly lower body - whereas the one I did today is more focused on total body), and I also have the Meghan White Pilates DVD that includes lots of options for Pilates "toys".
