Guest guest
Wow, I'm tired today. It is so hot here (over 100 today), that I had to split up my workout and do some in the morning and some in the evening when the house was cooler. Even still, I was drenched in sweat from the workouts. I started out with Total Body Sculpt Plus #5 this morning. I have a total of 10 of these recorded, so I'm half done with them! This one focused more on arms and shoulders and actually used a band in addition to free weights. It was a nice workout, but not super intense. Gilad's usual kickboxing routine. I still don't get when you would actually use that double punch, but it worked for getting my heart rate up some. This evening I did Yoga Booty Ballet's Advanced Fat Burning. This is 60 minutes long and starts with Kundalini Yoga, then goes to the "booty" dancing, then ballet, then Hatha Yoga to finish it off. While these are moves you don't normally see in exercise videos, they are fun and easy to follow. My DH says it is just my inner stripper coming out that thinks this is easy to follow because he can't do it. LOL Either way, I love it. Its a fun workout that really got me to sweating tonight. Of course, it was still almost 80 degrees in the house, so that could have been part of why I was sweating like a "stripper in church" as my DH put it. Gotta love men sometimes! After that, I put in my Yoga Zone tape and did the 20 minute Flexibility for the Entire Being practice. Mostly relaxing poses, but too many downward dogs for me. I just wanted to stretch not work as much as I do in downward dog. Toward the end, I just did cat, which they offer as a variation. At one point, I was in cat pose when my tuxedo cat, Cane, came and laid on the mat underneath me. DS walked in at that moment and laughed because I was doing Cat over the Cat! No wonder his babies all like to mess with me when I'm working out. He taught them that my yoga mat is a bed! LOL Now I feel like Jello and am ready for bed. Have a good night!
