Great job doing this workout ! JenSubject: Jillian Cardio KickboxingTo: exercisevideos Date: Thursday, September 25, 2008, 3:16 PM

I got this from netflix on the recommendation of some of you and I'm glad I did! I knew the workers were coming for sure today but didn't know what time. DH was home though so I figured I could sneak in a quick workout. I'd considered doing a Firm video but the shortest I had was 45 minutes. Cardio Kickboxing is just 25 minutes but like 30 Day Shred, she works you very hard with very little time for catching your breath. I loved it! I really feel the not working out regularly for 2 weeks. It is awful! I can see why I used to start and quit. As soon as you get out of the rhythm you lose mental motivation and it is hard to get past those first 15 minutes where you're ready to quit at any moment. I didn't though! I can't remember what my calorie burn was but it was good for that short amount of time. I wanted a little bit more so I did Awakening from Rodney Yee's Yoga for Energy. It is only 8 minutes long but always makes me feel good. I'm so glad I got something in today! I'm going to ask them what time they think they'll be here tomorrow and I'll try to get something in then too. We're taking part in a 5K Walk/Run tomorrow morning that is the kids' school's only fundraiser. Originally, I'd planned to train to run it this year but my hips told me otherwise so I'll primarily be walking but no doubt doing some running to catch up with the kids. That will be tomorrow's workout. Sunday is DD's friends birthday party at a local HUGE play area (think Mc's playland on steroids) so no workout then probably (except that the kids will make me climb into the play structure and go down the very big, very fast slide).

I'm taking a break writing this from working on ideas for my DD's Disney Princess bedroom and DH is taking wallpaper off the wall in DS's room. We're surprising them with bedroom makeovers. Both have been in progress for a while but neither expected to come home from school to find their wallpaper borders gone which is what will at least partly greet them! I've been shopping for Star Wars bedding for DS too. One bathroom has the floor and toilet torn out of it and a new floor being put down, another bathroom has a hole in the ceiling where the new fan will be going in after the ceiling is repainted, the family room furniture has all in the center of the room... tomorrow they should be finished, including putting in a new kitchen floor. The kids rooms and repainting/decorati ng the bathroom where we're changing the flooring (very dramatic change) will take more time because we're doing that ourselves and have to figure out what we're doing. We're definitely stimulating the economy though! LOL! I can use the kitchen tonight and the dining room table will be quick to clear (I've got my laptop and things on it now) so we can still eat in. Today is our Family Celebration Day. It is 12 years since our son was born. He died when he was 2 1/2 days old and on his birthday DH and I remember him and together with the other 2 kids, celebrate being a family. We're doing make your own mini pizzas for dinner and then playing board games together. The house will be in slight chaos but it will still work out. The chaos keeps my heart from the sadness at least a little and my living children bring much joy just knowing they're here so today is a little difficult but not terrible and less so than in other years.

gotta run!
