Cannes, France, as we could have side trips to Grasse, the fields and visits of

the factories. This event was delegated to Allured due to reasons I will not

elaborate on. I do not think any perfumers visited the CT location. In any

event, it's a perk for our overseas colleagues to see the US and the NY Metro

area, rather than the same old fields.

Well...I can only guess people who love the synthetics were the folks who voted

for this location - because there is nothing natural about the Casinos. My

friend who had a small lavender farm here in the orchards of Glastonbury,

unfortunately moved away, but a tour of a few rows of our local lavender would

not compare to France anyway! Wow...I wish I had something to suggest - a local

tradition not TOO far away is the Lobster Roll at Lenny & Joes Fish Tale!

CT has quite a few vineyards but again...if you are used to France, I think you

might not be that impressed. But if I spent $2,000 to attend this event - I'd

just eat all the meals included and probably never leave! Of course, if you

have never been to NYC and have the time to go...you must. And Mystic Aquarium

and Mystic Seaport is pretty close too. Wow...this is hard...
