Guest guest
Hello, My son now has a double curve. According to Dr. Metha, they are almost always progressive. It seems like the double curve is compensatory in lieu of rotation. The doctor ordered a plastic brace, but was not even there to make sure it was constructed as he wanted, or that it fit as it should. When I went to the doctor one month ago my son had a single curve. I explained to the doctor that the plastic brace was useless, his answer was its better than nothing. Dr. Mehta's own writings- plastic braces are useless for progressive, and unnecessary for resolving. This is of course exclusive of their use after casting for maintenance. Any comments would be greatly appreciated, as well as a referral to a new doctor who not only is Mehta trained, but also follows her teachings, instead of trying to make up his own. Thanks, Boyle
