Guest guest
Have just come back from the doctor who thinks that the itchy rash I have had for the last 5 days is probably scabies !! My daughter and husband appear to be unaffected but doctor says I have to treat them with the cream as well ( Lyclear with 5 % Permethrin ) I don't want to put this on my daughter - anyone have any thoughts about more child - friendly options ? Many thanks in advance.

Guest guest
We had scabies for months despite multiple treatments with melathione. We believe using the insecticide contributed to our illnesses and to Eddie's autism and very much wish we had known about Neem. We've used neem since for other things and it smells a bit and is a bit tacky but SO much better than the awful stuff we put on ourselves (and you need to cover your whole body so your head too). I would really recommend trying neem first - turmeric comes up a lot too. I couldn't find the video newsletter where Dr Mercola talks about neem and how great it is - but he warns that it damages your clothes (but not your skin). http://www.mercola.com/2005/oct/6/how_to_treat_scabies.htm http://homepage.eircom.net/~kathymcmahon/scabiesneem.htm http://www.neemgenie.co.uk/scabies.html http://www.islandlotions.com/scabies.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neem http://ezinearticles.com/?How-to-Choose-an-Appropriate-Scabies-Natural- Treatment & id=203323 We got a big bottle of neem from the nutricentre but guess you could get it elsewhere. Bset wishes, Sandy
