Guest guest
Hi all, While doing some medical research I came across this site and since we fall under the umbrella of rheumatoid arthritis and it's treatments I thought many of you might find it interesting and use the information for help with medication costs now or in the future. I did have to register but it was simple and no terms. All the underlines are links. You have successfully created your account on HelpPayRA.com. Guest guest
I have never had a problem getting my medicare insurance to approve remicade or Kinerate - it's about how your doctor sends in the request. The need to be firm. Saying that it for Stills, and add on that Stills is a form of RA, and boom, it's approved. Without that second description, it's hard to get approved. With it, much easier to be approved. The docs I've gone to have all done it this way and it's never been an issue. Some docs don't know this though, so that is when you have to try to educate them without hurting their feelings. Just suggest putting the second part on the form when they send in the form to the insurance company. Or call the company yourself, ask what it needs to say and then tell your doctor what the insurance company needs it to say for stills for it to be approved. If you can be just a little bold, it will go a long way financially for you. Good luck to everyone that is fighting this battle.
