Guest guest
Welcome , I am pretty new myself, so welcome to the group. In time you will know what to say. This is a place to share experiences, vent frustrations, and ask questions. You will get a wide range of comments, and much support. Sounds like you got diagnosed quick, for some of us we were not that lucky, we have been through years sometimes searching for the answer to this illness. Again Welcome and take care. ((((Hugs)))) My niece calls this an internet hug, ________________________________ To: Stillsdisease Sent: Friday, December 26, 2008 9:57:29 PM Subject: Newbie Hi all... I guess I don't know really what to say. I was diagnosed with Still's this past week (after being ill for 2 months and being tested for every other thing under the sun). I finally got to a Rheumatologist who recognized the symptoms and did the blood work that showed classic elevations and such. I joined this forum since nobody I know has been afflicted with this other than me (nobody I know has even heard of it!) and I thought I might need support or be able to lend support. That is all for now... I hope you all had a very Happy Holiday (whichever you may celebrate!) and have a happy new year. =)

Guest guest
Hi ! Drives me crazy when people ask me what I have, because how do you explain it in less than a 5 minute speech? I've taken to saying 'rheumatoid arthritis and some other crap', because when you say 'Stills Disease' they a) have never heard of it, and think you are contagious! Was this your first flare, or did you go through it before and weren't diagnosed? How are you doing with it? Everyone is SO different in their symptoms. Some people have little to no symptoms between flares, or just have one flare and never again. Some have terrible problems with it attacking their organs, and some avoid that and have joint pain and fevers instead. And then there is Uncle Fuzzy who is a case all in his own. It's really just a case of 'time will tell'. Tell us about yourself when you get a chance. Take care!

Guest guest
Hi Welcome to our Stills family. Like many of us there is sometimes a delay in diagnosis, but now you can be treated and hopefully will feel a lot better. Feel free to ask anything you want to know, there is usually someone that may be able to help. Hope 2009 is a good year for you Best wishes Joan U.K.
