Welcome Terry! I am sorry to hear that you have Stills but happy that you found

us.

About the sweating.... Man I use to sweat so much that I would change my clothes

many times during the day and I would take lots of baths. I couldn't stand it

but once I got down below 10mg I stopped sweating.  The doctors never gave me a

real reason why I was sweating so much.

I never used to have to wear sweaters or jackets but now I do all the time.

So there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Good Luck to you.

 Love and Support,

Keri in CA

Subject: New here

Hi everyone...

Been lurking around for a few weeks, but haven't posted until now. I

guess that means a brief intro is in order...

I'm a 31 y/o guy who was deployed to Iraq when I started developing

arthritis in my hands and feet. After being evacuated to Germany and

then back to the States, I was told I had rheumatoid arthritis. Fast

forward about 3 weeks and I started developing high fevers and the

rash, and was subsequently re-diagnosed with Still's. This was about

3 weeks ago. There's a lot more detail than that, but I'm just doing

a quick down & dirty.

Anyway, I was admitted to the hospital during the fever episode, at

which point the rheumatologist started me on 60mg prednisone and an

NSAID called Diclofenac. I've since been tapering down on the

prednisone - tomorrow I'll be down to 10mg daily. I'm handling it OK;

the fevers have all but stopped (I had one two nights ago), the

arthritis has subsided, and the rash has been gone since I left the

hospital.

My question to the group is this: has anyone else dealt with excessive

sweating? There are periods during the day where I feel fine, my

temperature is normal, but I just start sweating excessively and

cannot make it stop. In a matter of minutes my t-shirts are soaked.

Standing outside in the cool weather helps, but anything close to room

temperature causes me to sweat profusely. Has anyone else heard of or

dealt with this? I can't find anything in my research about it, so I

figured I'd ask here.

Thanks in advance.

Terry
