Guest guest
Janick, I cut Soda really out of My diet 5 Months ago. So I am pretty sure the water weight went away awhile ago. I would drink Diet Soda. But now all I drink is Club soda and lemon, or just plain old distilled water. I Have not been doing aspartame, and caffeine for 5 months either. Drs Say that Caffeine can shoot insulin levels up, and Aspartame is so bad for you. So I use Good Old Splenda. I occasionally have a diet Riet. So I don't think its the soda. Guest guest
, Thanks for the post. I have to say sometimes I have a burst of energy on here too when I post. But I believe everyone has an opinion like you say. And I know everyone means well. That is why I love the group so much. Guest guest
> > , who keeps chanting *three more days* *three more days* *three more > > days* You know what? I keep starting my challenge over and over since we have decided to start. I get up to day 3, then somehow, I forget about it. At least I've been working out regularly, because I haven't skipped more than one day since I started this. Janick who thinks that her new year's resolution should be to complete at least 1 21 day challenge within the year 2002

I've learned just recently that diet sodas (and probably regular also) are loaded with sodium, and can make you retain water. Do you think that part of your weight loss would be water loss because of the soda? Just a thought... Janick
Guest guest
> Caroline, who feels uneasy about anyone totally eliminating a food group in > the " pryamid " I feel the same way as you Caroline. However, there are plenty of non dairy products that can help you meet the RDA of calcium and vitamin D. I've been experimenting with them lately, and sometimes, it changes the routine of just plain dairy products. Janick
Guest guest
I agree totally with what you're saying, however I'm one of those people who can't tolerate dairy, I'm not totally dairy free, but have very very very little and have done for well over 10 years, I try to get plenty of variety in my diet, love salads (shrubbery as I call them) and will supplement with a good multivit with minerals whenever I remember, thanksfully I seem to be OK. Jill who's also got problems with wheat and a lot of grains but thankfully discovered I can eat Spelt and actually had 'real' bread made with it last weekend for the first time in about 6-7 years, wooohoooo > > Caroline, who feels uneasy about anyone totally eliminating a food > group in > > the " pryamid " > > I feel the same way as you Caroline. I normally don't voice my opinion on things, because I'm a very " go with the flow " type of person, but I had a burst of energy and started typing. hehe.
