Hi,

I need to know how any body has done with the " RITUXAN " ..I have been on

about 4,5 med. & none worked. Help maybe a lil' as far as NOT having the

atacks so severe. I still has the " flare " wt. all the sympomts spread out in

about

7, 10 days. Today the Rheumy told me to STOP taking every thing but the

PRED. ( I believe she wants to see how bad it gets with out MTX, Plaquenil &

Sulfacinad.) or how much they really helped.

I'm pretified, to say the least... But she told me she'll try to get me

approved for Rituxan, even thought she's isn't sure I can benefit from but IT IS

the only one she'll dare to try because of the TB. thing.

Any input will be very apprecited.

VIVI

I have had eight infusions of Rituxan and had no major flares during this time.

However, I have been unable to reduce my daily prednisone doseage past 5

mg/day.  I was able to wean off steroids completely during the time I was on

Kineret, so I seem to compare my new meds to that time of my life.  I have been

battling foliculitis as of late, but a simple antibiotic is healing that up.

Just watch out for infection like all the other meds.  I like not having to have

infusions all the time....they are just really long ones when you do have to

go.  Hope this info helps you Vivi.

Good Luck
