Guest guest
Gordon, I do not know your age or background so I can not know of your experience. I will be 54 on Saturday. I remember many people with polio from my childhood. And I am from a low population rural area. I know of no one under my own age who had it, all were older before the vaccine was available. I have been to Sub-Saharan Africa and seen children dying from common illnesses of my childhood that are virtually eliminated in the West. I think those mothers would take the small risk of a vaccine over watching their children die. Admittedly, there, malnourishment is a huge contributior to the death rate. I could give you a list of cases from the 50s and 60s where out breaks of what was once a death sentance was stopped with simple vaccines. Give a little respect to those who have had a different experience. Bill Dunlap
