Guest guest
Louise, To answer your question...My regular Dr. here in Florence was the one who referred me to the Rheumatologists in Huntsville....That was back in Jan. of 1990. My first appointment was with DR. Sergy of the group there. That was before they built their office here in Florence. My twin sister see's DR. 's and really likes him.....More than I can say about Dr Sergy. My regular DR. here has treated my RA far better than Sergy. I'm wanting to be referred to DR. later this month. I was diagnosed with RA in 1989, and continued to work until 1993. My line of work was too much stress on my hands and arms so I retired in early 1993. My twin sister finally had to retire early this year. Louise, How are you doing now with both knees replaced and has it restored your mobility like it used to be...I know that eventually My knees will need surgery. Right now I'm just buying time with the knee injections of SYNVISC. Gail [ ] Rheumatologist's Dear Gail in North Alabama; I noticed in your last e-mail that you are close to my age. I am 50(51in September) I have had RA since 1994. It has been especially bad in my case. I have had both of my knees replaced. My rheumatologist is Macon of Rheumatology Associates. I know that they have offices in Cullman and Florence. (main office in Huntsville) I worked until 1998 when I could not do it anymore. (I was an RN) We live in the southeast part of Huntsville I know where Hobb's Island road is. Again it surely is a small world. Do you go to Rheumatology Associates?
