Joann, You are absolutely right.

I like you and many of our buddies worked in the medical profession. I raised

three children on my own without the support of a father or even child

support.

I lost my job and had to go on disability and medicare and medicade but I

have to buy my own perscriptions. So I get generic and free celebrex from a

pharm. co. I am on the " indegent " program.

I know the feeling.

So I will gladly get involved.

Rheumy buddies unite!!!

Hi Judy,

Thanks for your reply and wanting to get involved. Sounds like you have

lived a life similar to my own! We definitely all need to unite in our

search for better treatment, better insurance, availability to prescriptions

and more help financially to get by with these diseases. Unfortunately,

although I have had some great replies and support from the group, we do not

have enough people involved yet. So please group let's get together for the

sake of all of us.

In the meantime, I am gathering all of the letters I have written in the

past to Sen. McCain, AZ Dept of Insurance, medical providers, pharmaceutical

companies, and letters where I had to beg for consideration with regard to

balances due from hospitals and doctors, and I am forwarding them to

Arthritis Foundation, Bd. of Rheumatology, Senators for AZ, AARP, Dept of

Insurance in AZ , and anyone else I can think of, to inform them of what we

live with every day.

IF THERE IS ANYONE IN OUR GROUP WHO CAN THINK OF OTHER AVENUES OR ADDITIONAL

PEOPLE, ORGANIZATIONS OR COMPANIES TO CONTACT...PLEASE LET ME KNOW

In the meantime, let's join hands as I said for the benefit of all. Even

though these diseases take us to our knees literally ! there is something we

can do to help ourselves and others hopefully who are afflicted with these

dreadful autoimmune diseases. Let's put our pain to work, and boy I have

plenty to give HAHA..

Joanne
