Guest guest
Congrat’s on getting Dylans last cast off! Perfect timing for summer, swimming, and all the fun things to do in water. Enjoy! HRH In A Brace Dylan just got his last cast cut off and got a brace this week. According to Dr. Sturm, he is " perfectly straight " now The plan is to have him wear the TLSO brace for 6 months getting x-rays done every 3 months. Should I ask to get the x-rays done a little sooner, or is 3 months typical? If he remains straight, Dr. Sturm said we take the brace off after 6 months and then follow-up at a year. He told us to have Dylan wear the brace 20 hours a day. We will probably have him wear it more than that on average, but it's nice to know that he can take it off for extended periods to swim, get physical therapy, and just run around to build up his core muscles. We are beyond thrilled with how well the casting has worked!
