Guest guest
Hello, nne! So sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble with your hand. I hope you find a way to get some relief soon. I've been using a Synaptics touchpad since the end of 1998 (it's built into my laptop below the keyboard), and I would not go back to using a mouse ever. Touchpads take some getting used to and aren't for everyone, but, over the years, I have used all several different brands of mouse devices, a joystick, a trackball, and a trackpoint, too. For me, the touchpad is the least cumbersome and the easiest on my hand and fingers. It's programmable so that you can adjust the level of sensitivity and various functions. You can buy a keyboard with one built in for a tower-style computer or attach an external touchpad instead of or in addition to a mouse. [ ] Mouse > Hi all, Any recommendations for a new computer mouse? My right hand's first two knuckles can't bear to use the one I have any more. Since yesterday, they have become quite swollen and painful. I can barely type. > > nne
Guest guest
Hi Sam, I am also in Canada and have to get a new mouse so was very interested in your description of the Logitech mouse. I currently have a Kensington Expert mouse that has a ball in the center with 4 buttons on each four corners and has been great for my crooked hands but I have searched everywhere to replace it (some of the features no longer work) and have never seen one like it. I will check out the Logitech one. Thanks. Hugs June
Guest guest
Sam, I have the exact same mouse and love it. I¹ve tried several others, but nothing is as comfortable as the logitech. My had just sits over the mouse in a very natural position And the slightest movement of my thumb moves the pointer. I got mine from Staples But have seem them all over. a > Hi there > > i use the logitech three button mouse...it is shaped like a hand so that the > knuckles rest comfortably on the mouse instead of the mouse taking the > pressure of the hand to hold itself up...it is quite a few years old and i > am sure logitech has advanced to the same thing but better.. > > it also has a little scroll button in the center that allows 6 functions > that you have your choice of programming in.. > > hope this helps..i am in canada but went to office depot which i think is > american..they have all their mouse displayed so that you can try them on > the keypads at the puters they have set up for display... > > Sam > [ ] Mouse > > >> > Hi all, Any recommendations for a new computer mouse? Guest guest
Hi nne, I just replaced my standard mouse for my computer. I bought a Microsoft Optical Trackball mouse. It's shape fits my sore hand perfectly and you don't have to move the whole mouse around, which aggravates my wrists. The ball is on the top and you move it with your thumb. It takes a little getting used to, but it has helped me alot with the pain in my hands. Love and Hugs Stacey in PA
Guest guest
Hi nne, I use a stationary mouse as my wrists don't like the ones you have to move all the time. The mouse has a rolling ball that I move with my fingers and a scroll wheel that I can activate for long emails, web pages, etc. Once the scroll wheel is activated you can control how fast or slow it scrolls to adapt to how fast or slow you want to read the page. I also invested in an ergonomic keyboard during the time my wrists were bothering me a lot. All of this really helped when I could barely operate the mouse without terrible pain. The stationary mice also are handy for small cramped work spaces which describes both my house and my office! Suzanne > Hi all, Any recommendations for a new computer mouse?
