Guest guest
Kundalini and the Holistic developmentThe two most important and fundamental forms of energy enter the human systemvia the root center and the crown center, These two chakras are connected by the sushumna, which inturn is connected to the chakras via "stems" along which it provides them with vital energy. At the sametime, the sushumna is also the channel through which the so-called kundalini power rises. The kundalini powerrests at the lower end of the spine " rolled up like a snake"and enters the system through the root center. It represents the creative cosmic energy which is also referredto as Shakti in Indian teachings, the female expression of God.This aspect of Divine Being brings forth all manifestation in Creation. Its opposite is the pure, unformed aspect of Divine Being resting in itself,Besides kundalini energy there is also another powerwhich flows through the spine to each individual chakra. It is the energy of pure divine. Being the unmanifested aspect of God.The energy which enables the human being to recognize the unformed aspectof Divine Being as the unchangeable and omnipresent basis of all levels of manifestation. This energy, which enters the body through the crown chakra, is especially suited for dissolving blockages within chakras. In the archaic teachings of India it is known as the god Shiva, the great destroyer ofignorance whose mere presence initiates a transformation towards the Divine. Thus Shiva and Shaktiwork hand in hand in the holistic development of the human being,in a development in which the Divine is integrated into our lives in the same wayas all levels of relative being. Being brings forth all manifestation in Creation. Its opposite is the pure, unformed aspect of Divine Being resting in itself. The Nadis in the Etheric BodyThe etheric body or etheric double is the energetic blueprint of the physical body. It is the body that distributes the vital force through the physical form. As mentioned earlier it is like the battery of the physical body. The etheric body contains an etheric nerve system of thousands of nerve channels interpenetrating both the physical and etheric forms.Indian literature suggests that we have 72,000 meridians or nerve channels that pervade the etheric body. There are three of these nerve channels that are of specific and great importance in understanding the kundalini. These most important nerve channels are the sushumna, the ida, and the pingala.
