Guest guest
Hi Jo- Remicade for me, gave me a life. It took away the fatigue and the aches and pains. I haven't had a fever for probably about 2 years. Everyone is different. So, I am not really sure if the Remicade helped with the fevers or not. Because I hadn't been on it for very long when I got a fever. I was on Enbrel for about 2 years and it didn't do anything for me. But like I said and you probably already know but everyone is different. Before the Enbrel I was just on Prednisone, the lowest I could get without getting a flare was 15-18mg. But even though I didn't flare I wasn't functioning very well, I was also on Celebrex, MTX, I was taking a couple muscle relaxers, anxiety meds, sleeping meds, 3 pain meds. Now I am only on Remicade, 1 pain med, and a muscle relaxer. I do think that I will have to go back on Celebrex for the Winter. When the weather gets cooler my body aches no matter what I am taking. I hope that Remicade works for you. Give it time. It didn't work right away for me. It took about 8 months to a year for it to really kick in. And then one day I woke up and I actually had the energy to get up and go about my day. I wish I would of tried Remicade first. My Doctor and I talked about it but I didn't want to be inconvenienced with going into the doctors office and sitting for 3-4 hours to get the IV. SILLY ME. If I would of just known what I was missing. I really hope that it works for you. Make sure you keep me updated when you start your IV's. I will keep you in my thoughts. Take care and I hope that you had a Great Thanksgiving! I am actually on a pack, 5 days I guess... then we shall see... hope it doesn't cause me weight gain, can't afford it in that area.... Can you tell me what symptoms the Remicade helps? My worst symptoms are the fever and fatigue, followed by pain of joints thanks, Jo In a message dated 11/24/2008 11:06:56 P.M.
