Totally OT: my holiday

Hi all,

This is totally off topic but I just wanted to share an update that our

holiday was so wonderful. I don't know if you remember a couple of months

ago I posted about finding my daughter's biological father after 31 years

but we did this summer and this week was their first meeting since she was 2

years old. She came with her two girls for the holiday and met ' mom

for the first time in the 15 years we have been together as well. It was

wonderful and our house abounded with laughter, love and happiness. I cooked

all week and we painted crafts with the girls. They toured the town here in

the mountains. We had some rain so were able to have it cool enough to enjoy

a fire in the wood stove and packed everyone here in our small place so were

comfy and cozy for three days. We said good-by to the last of the company

yesterday so now we can relax and get back to life with appointments and a

bit of rest.

is doing great with his shoulder healing and should start therapy this

next week and I feel like I made it! Over huge hurdles and came out a winner

and a survivor! This is the first year in more than I can count that I have

hosted such a holiday at our house and it was good.
