Guest guest
--....very interesting...now I have some questions for you...I could never figure this one and this article mentions the systemic causes and the OA this will be long (so you have been warned).. My cervical MRI reads something like this C2-3 disk space narrowing,C3-4neuroforaminal stenosis..C4-5 severe disk narrowing..C5-6 disk desiccation severe ,disk oestophyte complex..causing severe neurforaminal stenosis...C6-7 disk desiccation severe space narrowing ,C7-T1 oesteophyte...same on several of the thoracic.....then the lumbar is L3-4 disk desiccation...disk space narrowing severe left lateral bulge with protruision..L4-5sevsre broad based bulge with bilateral facet hypertrophy..which cause severe bilateral neuruforminal stenosis......they tell me that scleroderma does not attack the spine...tested me for MS and at one time diagnosed MS but could not confirm with lumbar puncture....MRI of brain did show lesions which later was concluded was vascular in nature from scleroderma....I was told OA...my PCP basically said BS...at 44 there is no way your spine could be this way....90 maybe...now all that to get to the question...if scleroderma can cause vascular problems could it not stop flow of blood to spine? I have been trying to figure this one out for 2 years...the spine keeps getting worse and they all just look dumbfounded....the did the epidural shots in all areas but to no avail...18 weeks of physical therapy then 18 weeks of occupational therapy .....all to no avail...refuse to do surgury because they say I am not a good candidate because with what they would have to fix in the cervical spine they could cause the whole area to collapse... so I am interested in your input.....causes..OA like this at 44?....scleroderma being weird?...not enough milk as a kid(I hate it)LOL.....anyways I am interested in your input or anyone elses .....
