Guest guest
Dear Pav, Just an idea...not sure if it helps but thought I would mention it. We found it really really hard to change our boy's diet at first. We resorted to putting new foods (in tiny tiny quantities) in with " regular " foods in their normal jars. It took awhile but eventually we replaced the original food but still used the jars he was used to ... then eventually we replaced these. Best wishes, Sandy > > Hi there all,I have just started the gf/cf diet about a week 2wks > ago..but my little boy was addicted to bread and cheese and onion > pringles..I have changed his bread to gluten free bread,as this the > next best thing to 'normal white bread' i just cant get subsitute for > the pringles!! Guest guest
Pav, best thing to do is give them a call and ask them if they have any trace of gluten / dairy. Guest guest
> > ..hey thats an idea.. didnt think of that lara..lol No need to, the ready salted pringles contain MSG which is also highly addictive for many autistic people. i highly recommend you get a book like the " dietary interventions and autism " which explains why MSG is a bad idea. i attempted this diet twice, the 1st time i went just gluten and milk free. i also added many supplements as recommended by " children with starving brains " . i wrongly believed i was cured 8 motnhs later. Then 4 months after that after almost loosing my sanity i decided to go back on the diet and this time exclude aspartame and msg as well. The effects were much better as was limiting the amount of mushrooms i ate in my diet. Some kids have a problem with glutamates. Others dont. i know how frustrating this is for you as when i go abroad i find there is little i am able to eat on the plane. Its now even harder to transport safe food with this ban on liquids. The only safe crisps that the airlines do stock are on limited numbers of flights. is (treating here aspergers with gf/cf/msgf/aspartame free diet. Also completed her 8th round of chelation)
