After all, saying that the customers have requested the removal is one thing, but to start pointing out research confirming health fears could backfire on them spectacularly - after all they are only removing it from their own brands. They can't say that they actually believe it to be harmful, or why would they sell all the other branded products containing it - and what is to stop customers suing them for selling products that they knew to be bad for health?
