Guest guest
The continuous breing process is differant. Although, I did a test so to speak by seeking the longevity of the Scobys and 10 brew was a little much for a great drink. I would say 5-8 brews is the most I would want to do anymore. Remember, I am doing the single brew method. In continuous brewing, I would leave the scobies alone. That is untill they end up taking over to much space to get a good yeild out of the brewed KT. And if the yeast started clogging up things, I would be cleaning, after reserving a good amount of it to restart the continuous process. Like always, save some brewed KT, as much as needed !0% ( more if you can spare it) and the fresh baby ( new mommy scoby, or a scoby that is strong) and restart with your favorate tea and sugar solution. I use Apple cider vinager that is Pasturized to gain an acidic base if I dont have any starter. And thats the only differance. If you need help, I will try to share about anything u might need, barring time doesnt get me first, M In original_kombucha , Sheila Guritz wrote: > > so do you have to replace scoby's or get rid of them after 10 brews? Guest guest
Hello Shiela, Your insight is dead on, the " old world " , being from the new world meathods used to lose wieght with the use of Kombucha tea call for a longer ferment upward to 14 days (lemon juice comes to mind) a sour drink, taken in the early afternoon, and evening following meals. When you rach a desired ( I say desired, because weight loss is a personal thing, and society is insane with " twiggy " ) wieght, return to a sweeter drink of maybe 7-10 day fermentation. It could be true that you are at an optimal wieght for your bone and body type, this I dont know. The important part is how you feel about it, and what you want to do if anything doesnt meet your approval. M > > > > > > so do you have to replace scoby's or get rid of them after 10 brews?
