Yes I have FM and RA and there are days when I feel absolutely rotten.I have

learned to just take it easy and rest and try to sleep when I am like

this....usually I have had a sleeping problem at night when I feel that way

anyways(been up most of night off and on with pain).Judy in AZ

Hi ...At times when I'm starting or in a flare I have felt so ill

and weak and yucky that there's no way I could leave my house. It

hasn't happened everytime, but sometimes. I have RA & Fibromyalgia,

too, and I think when they're both flaring it is so difficult to tell

where one ends and the other starts. It's just miserable.

I hope you feel better soon..take good, gentle care of yourself.

Hugs of Hope...

Hi ,

When I have a flare, it starts out like a mild flu or virus. Then the joint

pain kicks in. Even now I'm not always sure if I'm coming down with

something or beginning a flare. I'd much rather have a virus or flu bug

than have a flare.

Hope you feel better and have a great 4th.

Hugs,

Carol

[ ] does anyone ever feel like this

Hello everyone,

It seems i have a new symptom. I was wondering if anyone else has ever felt

like this. Now when i have a flare , I feel really sick. Its hard to

describe. Just a sick, sick feeling, queasy stomach, ache all over, etc? Im

not sure if its the RA or fibromyalgia or both.I cant leave my house to go

to the corner store to just get a paper. A horrible feeling. I thought i

would ask. Happy 4th everyone.

Hi ..just before a flare I am very fatigued to the point that I feel faint

and very weak. I can't say that I feel sick as in nausea but definitely very,

very tired and I find it hard to keep warm as well. I find my RA pain very acute

during those times and keeping things together during it all is also tiring. I

hope you're not feeling that way now but if you are I send my wishes for a

" quick " flare if that's possible..

Hi ,

I do get this sickness. I can usually tell when a flare is coming on. I'm

having one now. I just want to lay around for days. I don't even want to

make the effort to fix food or even lift the fork to feed myself. Getting

dressed seems like a mountainous task. Just know that it will soon pass.

Rest often and baby yourself until it goes away if you have to. Better days

are ahead.

Love and Hugs

I know how you feel. I have RA and fibromyalgia. When the RA

and the fibro are active at the same time I feel flu-like symptoms

and sometimes a sore throat before the soreness or swelling.

It is awful when symptoms from both diseases overlap.

I am in New England and we're in the midst of an awful heat

wave. I'm finding that in this heat and horrid humidity the joints in

my hand and feet are incredibly painful. I am wondering if it is the

weather or just a bad coincidence.

For me, a flare is like the flu, just like many have

described to you. I am kind of having a bit of a

flare at this time, just came off of two weeks of

prednisone and can really tell the difference without

that drug. All of my joints, my entire body in fact,

ache, even feel muscle type aching down my arms and

legs. Don't know about a fever - haven't taken any

temp. But just feel generally aching, tired and run

down. Also, if the weather is humid it is even worse.

Right now it is very hot where I am, about 100 degrees

- heat is good but wish it were more dry. There is a

bit of humidity and I can feel it!
