Hi Pat,

Don't think there should be any problem with Kombucha tea and your thyroid med.

You might ask your pharmacist or look online to see if any foods are

contraindicated for Levothyroxine.

Peace, Love and Harmony,

Bev

I also take synthroid and drinking Kombucha doesn't cause me any

problems.

I have to take Levothyroxine (Synthroid)

for my hypothyroid condition.

Can anyone tell me if kombucha

interferes with this drug?

Thank you for your time.

Kombucha does not interfere with the action of your thyroid medication. I have

had several blood tests since I started drinking kombucha and there was no

change. Just continue to take your thyroid medication first thing in the morning

on an empty stomach with plain water and wait 1/2 hour before eating, especially

eating anything with calcium or iron. Food interferes with absorption, and

calcium and iron bind to the thyroid molecule, thus reducing effectiveness. So,

don't take your medication with your kombucha, keep them separate.

To your health,

Olivia
