Guest guest
Good Morning Glorys It is so good to log on with you all every morning. I appreciate every email from everyone. (methinks it might be my fix for the day) It is so nice to realize all of you out there know exactily how I feel and to feel the strength offered daily upward from you all. a - the birthday and bio list idea is great. Congratulations on becoming a Grandmother. I'm MeMa to seven grands. Wouldn't trade the experience for anything else. Sorry, about the problems your daughter is having. I only had one pregnancy past 6 weeks and then only carried her 6 months. However, she survived and is hale and hardy now and in the Army. I wish I could have seen the movie " Door to Door " as I had seen several advertisements and articles regarding it. I only have the basic of basics of cable and of course that channel wasn't included. I have a role model like that in my life. My oldest daughter's birth mother has CP and was only 18 when she gave birth. As she has a bad speech impediment and has atrophy on one side, she would've had to have had her family's help which was not there. We remained in loose contact until my daughter was 15 and until the need to introduce her to her birth mother became important. She had moved clear up into northern CA and had not done much with her life. Two bad marriages to abusive men and she had finally met a man who treated her like a queen. She did not have any more children because of cancer when she was 24. After coming down to meet my daughter, she went back and told her man that they needed to be role models for my daughter. They both started going to school and got married. Her husband got a good job where he could advance and has done quite well over the 15 + years since. She graduated with a Bachelors and went to work for the Welfare Dept where she worked for some time. She then went back to school for her Masters. For the past few years she has worked with Companion Dogs for the Disabled and is now trying to find a niche in the field she went to school for - working with the handicapped. We are very close like sisters now and are as one in matters dealing with " our " daughter. She has been a big support. I started this " note " this morning and just now getting to close it. I have had a larger project to work on today and thank goodness it is one I can do from my desk. My hip and right leg are extremly painful today but the rest of me feels pretty good and I'm in good spirits. That helps. I do have to drive 4 hours away again tomorrow and return Sunday but thats okay. I feel better sitting and if I stop ever so often and just stretch, I can make it. I hope you are have a wonderful, painfree, kick back, weekend. Jan in CA :=) ---------------------------------
